Hinterland Elective Seminars

The Gallery

Aspiration and cultural capital can be the missing link between excellence in the core curriculum and securing the right HE progression and career pathway. This seminar explores the relevance of art as a way to improve perception and appreciation beyond any core curriculum.

The University of Hull Gallery has an extraordinary collection focussed on the years 1880 - 1940. These few years generate wide-ranging intellectual movements and historical events capable of producing fine art. This seminar equips the student to appreciate the visit and build the skills that apply elsewhere.

For STEM and Humanities students alike this seminar adds sizzle to the steak. It will generate ideas that could get you out of a fix in an interview but is more than likely to echo across your life with more to do than you thought.
